CROSS-Tokai

CROSS-Tokai is an independent research organization appointed by the Japanese government to administer, support and promote the user program on the 6 neutron Public Beamlines at J-PARC MLF.

In addition to its proposal selection and utilization promotion functions, CROSS-Tokai has established a center of excellence for neutron science and technology that provides world-class expertise and support to actual and prospective users of the Public Beamlines at J-PARC across a wide range of research fields and industrial applications.

  • Location: Tokai,Japan
  • Proposal deadlines:
    Typically June and November each year.

  • Operating cycles:
    J-PARC typically provides eight 22-day user beam cycles each year which are divided in two operating periods (A & B) for the purposes of proposal selection and beamtime allocation.
